Professional Experience

• In my first year as an independent entrepreneur  in 1985 I joined one of the Chicagoland area franchises  for the Venture Resources Business Brokers and was awarded 'Rookie of the Year' among candidates from 18 franchises in the metro area.
• Kerford Investments International recognized me as 'Trader of the Year' throughout their international network of offices when I was managing their office and trading Forex in Costa Rica in 2004. 
• The International Society of Business Leaders ISoBL recognized me as  a business leader by awarding me 'Member of the Year' in 2020.
• Impact Entrepreneur magazine selected me as one of the top ten inspiring business leaders for 2022.  Here's the write up. 
• A global group known as 'Well Connected' monitored charitable organizations around the world and would select those which offered the most unique, creative or productive approaches to serving their mission.  They would hold these selections up and highlight them on their website as examples for others to follow.  Mark's Panama Christian Foundation was recognized and selected for attention.This group sent a professional video crew around the world to document these exceptional organizations to showcase them.    Sadly, the group's website is down but the video they produced is here.

Licensed Series 7 Independent agent with A.L. Williams and other brokers of financial services products covering all of the state of Colorado.  1987-1992 

As a legal researcher and teacher this is where my human rights activism took root and I began teaching people how to use the law to defend their rights from abuse and tyranny.   This led me into the crosshairs of the authorities and I was then designated as a political target.  1992-1994

The notoriety gained from the Law Club led me to be invited to host a radio show on KHNC Radio AM 1360 in Johnstown Colorado known then as THE PATRIOT NEWS NETWORK.  The show was called 'The Citizens Rights Forum' and was actively teaching law in a practical way and exposing corruption in local government business and showing listeners what to do about it which made me a marked man.  I was arrested on bogus charges of 'criminal impersonation' for using my own given name.  I beat the charges in the first trial, representing myself.  They tried me again (double jeopardy) and denied me any chance of defending myself and, long story short, I ended up spending a year in jail.  For the full story read my first book.  "One Freemans Was in the Second American Revolution."  This was around 1994-1995

The experience in learning the law and the notoriety of the radio show created the opportunity to be invited to be a consultant with a group in Oklahoma which was dealing with many clients on investment deals and I was brought in as a trust consultant where I sharpened my teeth on trust law and practical application of its uses.  1996-1999

In 1998 I fell in love with Costa Rica when I went for a business trip and I ended up moving there where I began my life as an international entrepreneur.  I created, built and managed a number of business enterprises most of which are still active today.   See more at mmg.world and mmgcapital.biz for a sample.

I gave 'The American Law Club new life in the digital world by creating The Lighthouse Law Club as an online educational format to share knowledge of human rights and the law to help people protect themselves and their assets.  For more see https://lighthouseliberty.club
