Mark saw a need in the local community and set off to try and meet some of those needs. He created PCF as the vehicle. PCF was recognized internationally by a global group which monitors charitable organizations and seeks out those which are exemplary models and holds them up as an example for others to follow by highlighting their story. They did an extensive write up on us and sent a professional video crew down to Panama to document and tell our story. This is the video. Sadly the groups website is no longer available with the write up.
PCF sponsored many youth sports teams at all age levels. We held soccer camps and training schools to bring more kids in. Once we had them, valuable lessons were taught on becoming responsible successful adults living by Christian principles. See our videos on this activity
PCF set up a beautiful, multi-use community center where we had events for kids and adults. Among those were English classes, Science Classes, Professional Ethics training classes, sports team meetings, motivational training, wine tasting, art exhibitions and more.
It all started with this church building project which was built with manual labor, grit and financial help from PCF. Ministerio Uel serves a very poor local rural community in Panama. Most of the beneficiaries of this work are fatherless children who have little to no outlet for education, recreation or care. Ministerio Uel offers meals, activities, bible study and has become a pillar in the community for these kids and willing adults. PCF encourages these efforts with regular financial and logistical support. Get a glimpse here.
